Modern superbikes use very steep head angles, short wheelbases and very powerful engines. By their very nature, this will make them inclined to tank slap, regardless of frame or suspension design. In more recent years, the manufacturers are beginning to fit steering dampers as Original Equipment, but rather like OE shock absorbers, they are mostly poor quality, inexpensive items, which can be vastly improved upon. The trick is to fit a quality steering damper before landing in a ditch and not after. So do it now - it’s a lot cheaper than replacement bodywork and medical insurance!
